Great machine so far
Strengths: Quiet, cleans well, reasonable wash time (all new washers take more time than my 20-year old previous washer.
Weakness: None so far!
First, my model is actually the 8240 but looks like the machine in the picture on this site. I have only had my washer for 3 weeks and had read negative reviews about it. However, it was what was available in my small town in my price range, and Consumer Reports had marked it as a Best Buy. So far, I love it. Some reviews talk about tangled clothes. unlucky
Strengths: extremely quiet
Weakness: fails to clean
Totally frustrated with this machine. Whirlpool tech was out 3 times and after viewing laundry coming out made several failed attempts to fix it. It now gathers dust in the garage because I put the old noisy washer back to work so we don,t have to wear half clean clothes. SORRY but I think Whirlpool has their head in the sand over this lemon!
