One of the Best Electric Washers

Strengths: Great Capacity and Performance, Quiet Operation, Easy-to-clean filters, Stylish, Energy and Water-Saving.

Weakness: Requires HE detergent, must leave door open and laundry room ventilated after each use, takes longer to wash clothes than commercial washers

So far this washer has been able to handle anything we've thrown at it, including King-Size down comforters (tells me I still have two ticks left in capacity!). If properly balanced, there is barely any vibration and it's very quiet.

So far, it's great!

Strengths: Spin cycle and low water use

Weakness: Needs to be on a pedestal but the LG brand pedestal is too expensive

The spin cycle really is amazingly fast. It throws out so much water that the dryer really has an easy job finishing up the drying process. I like the controls and the displays. Everything is very user friendly. The washer holds much more than my old top loader too. With no agitator to take up all that room, I can fit large blankets in there with ease. At just over 6' tall, I don't like how low...

Sleek, Quiet and Efficient

Strengths: Clean, Easy to read layout, Sleek design

Weakness: Still have to stoop to pick up your wet laundry

by kenfused, from Unspecified on Apr 13 2008 Strengths: Sleek design, Solid Feel, Well placed controls Weaknesses: Still have to stoop to pick up the laundry Summary: The LG WM2455HW is a fantastic washer. Right after we set it up, it had a very pleasant Power Up "song", plays a nice little tune, then you get right to wok. When you load it up, it handles any amount of laundry! We have done loads...

LG WM2455HW 27" Washer (Front Loading, 4.0 Cu. Ft.,...

Strengths: Less water to use, multiple features, easy to use, work great. safe energy

Weakness: Take little bit long to wash heavy stuff (towels, jeans, etc.)than my old top load washing machine.

I bought this dryer back in January'08 at Home depot. I paid $639 after 20% discount I've got from Amex card. at the time it was already on sale for $799. so i thought I've got a good deal on this machine. I've been using it for almost 2 months now and so far so good. this machine does clean very good. I have 2 toddler and their clothes is always full of stains. I don't bother to put stain...

a washer that is worth every penny

Strengths: large capacity, fast spin cycle, sturdy frame, easy instructions.

Weakness: load capacity can be confusing - wipe down rim as with any front load

The spin cycle is 1200rpm and seems to be more than enough to extract any extra water out without wringing them into a ball. There is a little confusion about the 4.2 drum capacity versus the 4.0 load capacity. Near as I can figure out the load size can't be more than the 4.0 which is advertised on the machine itself. The 4.2 is the size of the drum. This really is not important if you are using...

Best washer we have ever owned

Strengths: Large loads, quiet operation, energy efficient

Weakness: None to date

This washer is so big we have no problem keeping up with our laundry now. You can not hear the washer running most of the time, only noise heard is when water is added. The spin speed of 1200 rpm is great. The clothes go into the dryer almost dry, reducing dry time. So far this machine has been great. Have read other reviews with complaints of bad smelling clothes and can only say they don

Mildew Smell

Strengths: Extra Water option

Weakness: You cannot use standard detergents like Tide, Gain, etc. the only way we wre able to minimize the mildew smell, (stink) was to use ECO or Kirkland detergents.

LG has recommended the following procedures in minimizing the mildew smell in the cloths, they has stated that they have not found a resolution to stop the smell. Start the tub clean cycle and after the pre wash cycle the wash cycle starts (at about 110 minutes indicated push the pause botton, add 1/2 cup of Cascade dish washing detergent, cup of bleach, and a large pot of boiling water to the...

Loving My New LG washer!

Strengths: Energy efficient, low water usage, quiet, easy to use, cleans clothes well

Weakness: None so far. Some may not like the longer wash cycle compared to a top loader. That being said, the drying time is significantly reduced because the clothes come out of the washer so dry.

I researched this washer for a long time and am happy with my purchase. I have only had this washer for a week, so I am still in the honeymoon phase. It runs like a dream. It is so simple to use! My clothes are so clean, my dryer takes half the time of my old dryer, I LOVE THIS WASHER! I have heard complaints that front loaders start to smell. I was advised by the salesman to keep the washer door...

Great Washer Cleans Well

Strengths: Really cleans clothes. Lots of wash options.

Weakness: Vibrates and loud during spin dry cycle but I haven't really heard a quiet one yet.

Not recommended for use on second floor if you are sensitive to noise. Vibrates and loud during spin dry cycle but I haven't really heard a quiet one yet. Energy star saver. I got a rebate from my gas company and water company for buying this washer to offset the cost. Picked this washer because of the larger capacity. Works so much better than my old washer. Our baby's clothes come out very...
