Great price.
Strengths: Less expensive model
Weakness: Poor user manual. Generic for many models, so generic, it doesn't really provide much of any info.
When our repair person told us our 9 year old machine would cost $250 to repair and we could get a new one for $400, we felt it was worth it to get a new machine. Too bad they don't make machines like they use to and the average life is now only around 10 years! Hopefully this one lasts longer. It is rated high by consumer reports. With 5 kids 7 and under, I use my machine daily.
Worse Machine Ever
Strengths: None
Weakness: Never spins cloths dry, leaves them soaking wet. After doing another "drain & spin" they come out somewhat dry but a tangled mess.

Weakness: This washing machine stops when the lid is lifted
The GE # WJRE5500GWW top loading washing machine has a very large stainless steel wash basket so I can wash more clothes at a time. The agitator is extremely gentle on my clothes. The spin cycle removes the excess water so the drying time is shorter than it was with my old machine. Overall, I am very satisfied with this washing machine & would definitely recommend it to my friends.
