Strengths: Large capacity--great for steaming broccoli and other large, bulky vegetables

Weakness: It takes up quite a bit of counter space.

I bought this to replace my microwave steamer--it is nice because I can steam a large quantity of vegetables all at once!! The timer is great because I just start it and it TELLS me when the food is finished. Highly recommended!!

A steamer that works well at a great price.

Strengths: > Rice cooks great > Compact size

Weakness: > Plastic bowl and heating element stains > Timer sometimes does not sound when cooking is done

This is the second one of these I am buying. I needed to buy a another one because I dropped the first one when moving. I owned the first one for over 8 years and it still worked as well as the first time I used it. I use the steamer mostly for cooking rice (both brown and rice). Both turn out well. I only steamed vegetables (broccoli) in it once, and it cooked well. I don't believe I have found...
