4 Star Review It's a great heater

Strengths:

quiet, efficient

Weaknesses:

so far, couldn't find

Posted Dec 21, 2007 - One of our bedroom is colder than others eventhough we had a central heat system. We got this one from sears. IT has 6-year-warranty. Also, it's very quiet, safe, and very efficient. Maybe our bedroom is small.

4 Star Review Consumer Reports rated it a best buy in the electric radiant category.

Strengths:

Inexpensive...I paid $45; tip-over function (automatic shut-off); 6-year warranty; one-touch button control; light-weight

Weaknesses:

front metal grill gets hot; spot heating not whole room heating

Posted Dec 21, 2007 - This is an electric radiant heater with quartz tubes, so it's best for spot heating. If you have an area that is enclosed, it really heats up the room (ie. a bedroom where you can close the door). I like the one-touch button control, where you can select temperatures of 60, 65, 70, 75, and 80. Also, you can control the fan level to Hi or Lo. It does feature a tip over function. If the heater falls, it automatically shuts off. The plastic housing material does not get hot, but the front metal screen does get hot. The manufacturer warranty is six-years.
