Easy install and clean look

I have not used the machine much yet but on the first two washes, it did clean the dishes. It did not leak. It was quiet (you can hear that it is running but it does not drown out a conversation in the room). It has very clean styling. These are three advantages over the >25yr old unit it replaced. At this point, I have no regrets. After installing the unit, I was concerned that I would not be able to operate the controls as they are on top of the door and my fingers are too big to fit in to push them. Never fear. You can set the cycle, push start, close the door and away it runs.

Excellent Value for the Product

I have only had this dishwasher for a couple of weeks but it has far surpassed my expectations. This was the least expensive dishwasher and since I have had it, it has worked fabulously. It isn't the quietest, but it is a LOT quieter than my old dishwasher. Overall, it has been a great value and I have had no problems. I am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase.

Much quieter than our old one, but not as quiet as I was hoping it was. Light weight, easy to get into the house. Includes the drain hose. The "required adapter" for Maytag is a 90 deg converter from something like a water hose outlet (what the dishwasher has), to a standard 3/8 inch compression fitting. Yes, it really is required, you have to buy it, but it's only about 3 dollars. The "install kit" has a nice 6 foot steel braided water line and a couple plumbing adapters. I had to re-use a couple inch long section of my old copper 3/8 tubing, since my hot water supply uses a flare fitting instead of a compression fitting, but otherwise, the plumbing was pretty simple. The guy that wrote the manual should be smacked for sending me on a wild goose chase looking for a 7/8 inch "strain relief". What it doesn't tell you is a standard 1/2 inch conduit knockout measures 7/8 inch. The proper part on Home Depot's website is titled "Halex 3/8 in. Twin Screw Clamp Connectors". At the store you can get a bag of 5 of them for $1.50. You need one of these to attach the electrical line and prevent it from pulling loose. Apparently 1/2 inch conduit has an internal diameter of 1/2 inch, and the external diameter fits nicely in a 7/8 in diameter hole. Kinda like a 2x4 isn't actually 2 inches by 4 inches. Overall a nice dishwasher and my wife seems very pleased, which makes me pleased.
