Nice quiet dryer with a very large capacity

I have been very impressed with this LG 7.3 Cu Ft Electric Dryer. It features a simple menu that consists of a big dial (with lights) and three buttons for optional features. It features 9 cycles, however I really only use the "Normal" cycle to do my everyday laundry.

The dryer runs quietly with almost no sound heard in the next room (laundry door closed of course). At the end of the cycle, a pleasant tune plays to let you know that your load is done. My clothes are nice and dry (not scorched) and sheets are never tangled up. I have even been able to dry big blankets in this dryer.

The lint filter is located on the bottom lip of the opening. It comes right off and is easy to clean.

An important feature for me is the child locking mechanism. You press one of the buttons for three seconds and it locks all the buttons. All the cool lights that this dryer has is an instant attraction for my toddler, so the locking feature is almost a necessity for me.

Great Washer

Strengths: Really clean clothes! Quiet! Senses load size & uses appropriate amount of water

Weakness: Moisture in rubber lining

This is my first front front loading washer. It is great. It holds lots of laundry, and cleans well. Takes a lot less water than a traditional washer. Would recommend to anyone needing a new washer. LG makes great products.

Works well, dries fast, plays a cute tune when done

Strengths: Easy to use controls and displays.

Weakness: Needs to be on a pedestal but the pedestals that match it are too expensive.

The blanket gets balled up and the outer edges get dry so the dryer thinks it's done. But when the comforter is removed, it is still wet in the center. Not a big deal, but still...

This is a new experience for me to use a front loader. I like it, but at just over 6' tall, it's a pain in the back. I wanted to get the matching pedestal but at roughly $150, on sale, it was just too expensive. So I built my own for the price of a sheet of plywood, some screws, and a few 2x4's.

Loving my LG dryer!

Strengths: Dries quietly, quickly, automatic sensor turns dryer off when clothes are dry, easy to use

I love this dryer. Granted, I've had it for 2 weeks and probably am still in the honeymoon phase. I couldn't be happier with how it runs. Loads often take less than 30 minutes to dry; my largest load took 40 minutes to dry (blanket, sheets, and a towel). I would highly recommend this dryer!! Loads often take less than 30 minutes to dry; my largest load took 40 minutes to dry (blanket, sheets, and a towel). I would highly recommend this dryer!! I was advised not to use dryer sheets with this as it will make the automatic sensor deteriorate (I love that the dryer shuts off when the clothes are dry; no wasted energy). I use a fabric softener in my washer and haven't noticed a problem without using dryer sheets.

DLE5955W Electric Dryer

Strengths: I like the stainless steel drum, easy access filter that located on front. love the music that played every time the dryer on and off. The performance is fine, Dried towels in 1 hour, same as jeans.

Weakness: After use it more than a month and a half, thus far I don't have any complaint at all.

What can I say, Drier is a dryer, all brands do the same kinda of work. The pedestal help a lot. I'm 5'1 but without the pedestal I probably hurt my back :-)
My husband think I paid too much for this dryer ($639 after 20% Amex discount)from home depot in January, I slightly agreed because it's only a dryer but I wanted to match my washing machine, that's the only reason I bought it.
