I started using my blender about 30 minutes after the delivery man dropped it off. The flexibility of the power range--the speed control dial--is one of the best features. The whisk attachment worked nicely for making mashed potatoes, although with a bit of splattering (The manual suggests using deep containers, but I used a shallow bowl). My blender came with a chopper bowl, blade, chopper adapter & a non skid base which also serves as a lid, a blending beaker with a lid (interestingly, serves as a non-skid base), a whisk adapter and attachment, and finally the blending attachment with the SS blade. The non-skid base is soooo handy, especially when blending something that's not so light, or when you need another hand to pour ingredients as you blend (when making mayonnaise). The storage bag is very convenient, with "compartments" for the blade & whisk attachments, and the motor. The fact that the whisk adapter and the whisk are not in one piece is very convenient--it allows for easy washing of the part that actually gets food on it. However, it is inconvenient to not be able to easily wash the chopper adapter. Neither of the adapters should be immersed in water. Over all a great product.
